Bring the gallery into your home

Do you miss strolling through long corridors of galleries, full of beautiful art works that take your breath away? Well, we do too.

Although, nothing will replace the actual visit to a gallery, there are some pretty good alternatives. Some of the most prestigious museums in the world open their doors online. May it be in form of online archives of their collections or a virtual tour through the premises – you can “visit” galleries without even leaving your home

Here are some of the top art museums to get lost in (virtually).

1. The State Hermitage Museum

Located in St. Petersburg, Russia, The State Hermitage Museum is the second-largest art museum in the world (following Louvre). The collection includes over 3 million works of art and artefacts. You can take a digital tour through its 7 museum complexes, its nearest surroundings and several exhibition projects. Quite often you will find detailed information about displayed items.
