Course description

24th to 26th of April 2026
from 10:00 am CEST
Duration: Total of 18 Hours

Where: Ridlerstrasse 31b, 80339 Munich

This three-day portrait workshop offers a step-by-step introduction to watercolor portrait painting, with each day dedicated to a different technique. You will learn to understand proportions and composition, work with the layer-by-layer glazing technique, and practice the expressive wet-on-wet method.

Day 1: Proportions and Composition (Friday)
On the first day, we focus on the proportions of the face and Rabi’s own approach to quickly and easily sketching portraits. In the afternoon, we strengthen this knowledge and further explore the composition of the portrait.

Day 2: Glazing Technique and Expression (Saturday)
The second day is dedicated to the creation of stylish portraits. We paint the portrait of a woman using the layer-by-layer glazing technique (Lasurtechnik) and focus on expression and color effect.

Day 3: Wet-on-Wet Technique (Sunday)
On the third day, we work in the wet-on-wet technique and paint the portrait of a man. Here the focus is on spontaneity, atmosphere, and lively color transitions.

All participants receive a PDF guide that allows them to deepen the workshop content at home and practice independently.

Look forward to three creative days full of inspiration, color, and new techniques - we look forward to seeing you!
