Capturing the light is one of Maria's favorite things in painting. She mastered the art or transferring the light physics into the paper while preserving the natural look of watercolor.

In this class Maria is going to show you how to create a simple but spectacular picture of contrasting light in sunset with watercolors.

Requirements

The class may be interesting both for beginners and advanced artists who never stop improving their technique.

Strong drawing skills are not required.

Materials:

Paper: 
Arches: 100% cotton paper, cold pressed, 300 gsm (you can take any other paper with the same characteristics), 21x28 cm

Watercolors:
- Naples yellow, Sennelier 567
- Naples yellow red, Rembrandt 224
- French vermilion, Sennelier 675
- Rose madder lake, Sennelier 690
- Indanthrene blue, Sennelier 395
- Neutral Tint, Sennelier 931

Brushes:
- Goat flat brush 3 cm or any wide flat natural brush for moistening the paper
- Round squirrel / squirrel mix / squirrel imitation brush (6-10 mm fits well)
- Small (about 3-6 mm ) round synthetic brush for details  (mixed / imitation / natural will do this job as well)

Other:
- Plastic or wooden board
- Cup of water
- Paper towels
- Masking tape
- Water spray (optional)
